一、课程的性质和目的    

《大学实用行业英语》是以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容,以外语教学理论为指导,并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。其教学目的是培养学生具有一定的行业英语基础知识和较强的英语综合应用能力,使他们能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的行业信息交流,同时增强自主学习能力和综合文化素养,以适应今后工作、进一步学习和进行国际交流的需要。    

《大学实用行业英语》是大学英语教学的第四阶段,期末时,学生在读、写、译等方面应能够达到职场语境下英语熟练应用。

Suppose you are the one to investigate, offer the sales manager with a report.

三、课程基本要求    

《大学实用行业英语》是大学英语教学的第四阶段,是大学英语课程教学的提高阶段。通过本课程的学习,学生应该达到下列要求:    

1、词汇要求:掌握3500个英语单词以及由这些词构成的常用词组,对参考词汇表中列出的3000个共核词汇能在口头和书面表达时加以熟练应用。另需掌握500个与行业相关的常见英语词汇。    

2、语法要求:掌握基本的英语语法,并能在职场交际中熟练运用所学的语法知识。    

3、听力要求:能听懂日常生活用语和与未来职业相关的一般性对话或陈述。    

4、口语要求:能就日常话题和与未来职业相关的话题进行有效的交谈。    

5、阅读要求:能读懂一般题材和与未来职业相关的英文资料,理解基本正确。    

6、写作要求:能就一般性话题写命题作文,能模拟套写与未来职业相关的英语应用文,如信函、通知、个人简历等。内容基本完整,表达基本准确,语意连贯,格式恰当。    

7、翻译要求:能借助词典将一般性题材的文字材料和与未来职业相关的业务材料进行汉英互译。译文达意、通顺,格式恰当。    

   

四、本课程与其它有关课程的关系    

《大学实用行业英语》是一门必修基础课,普通类非英语专业学生在经过《21世纪大学英语应用型综合教程》和《21世纪大学英语应用型视听说教程》1-3册的学习,然后与二年级下学期使用本教材。本教材与前期三个学期所使用教材相辅相成,密不可分:    

通过前三册教材的学习,学生已经具备了一定的听、说、读、写、译能力,为《大学实用行业英语》的学习奠定了一定的基础。而通过对《大学实用行业英语》的学习,学生可以进一步提高其英语基本技能,尤其是提高和未来职业相关英语题材的听、说、读、写、译能力的提高。

其它单元为学生自主学习内容,教师予以指导和监督;    

课堂语言实践、学习策略指导内容:大学英语学习指导、学习策略、口语实践活动、英语电影片段赏析、四六级考试应试技巧等。    

   

七、成绩考核方式    

本课程考试采用期末笔试和平时成绩相结合的手段,期末考试形式为笔试,成绩总分为100分,题型以大学英语四六级考试题型为参考,内容涵盖基础知识和能力的测试。期末卷面成绩70%,平时成绩30%(考勤、作业、课堂活动和口语测试,每一项占平时成绩的25%)。
